I have a small collection of antique postcards that I’ve collected throughout the years. I tend to collect postcards that depict places that are connected to me or my family history. I’ve scanned many of them and shared them here for you to enjoy, too.

[COMING SOON!] DeKalb County Postcards – Postcards depicting various scenes in DeKalb County, IL. DeKalb County is in Northern Illinois, and was established in 1837. Popular landmarks are the Kishwaukee River, the County Courthouse in Sycamore, Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, and the Post Office in DeKalb.
Jacksonville Postcards – Postcards depicting various scenes in Jacksonville, IL. Jacksonville is located in Morgan County and was established in 1825. Illinois College, MacMurray College (previously called Illinois Women’s College), The Illinois School for the Visually Impaired, and the Illinois School for the Deaf are all located in Jacksonville. Illinois College was the first college to be established in Illinois, and was established in 1829. Jacksonville and Illinois College also have close ties to the Underground Railroad and Abraham Lincoln.
