[…] from they have three horses, about five cows, eggs are all 60 cents a dozen. I hear that the boys at Camp Grant went south the first of the year. Did you hear from Al? How is Floyd? Tell him to write. Also tell Anna to let me know how the farm is coming. Tell pa that I would like to be there to help him. Also tell him not to work too hard. [Don’t] let him sell the shop. Make Floyd help him because I want that shop [when] I get back. Well I hope you are all [well. This] will be all for this time.
