Dear Mother,
I thought I would write you a few lines to let you know that we are all well down here. We have had mild weather down here so far this winter. They are still building on this camp and it looks like they will work all winter. The Artillery moved in from West Point and are being discharged from here but it does not look like we will get out very soon. We are sure getting the shitty end of it all right but I guess we can stand it for a while yet. We had a good dinner Thanksgiving but I don’t know how it will be Christmas. Some of the men are going to get to go home for the holidays but I think I will wait until after the 1st and see what they are going to do. Do you ever hear from Glen

Have any of the men got back home yet that were in very long? I wrote a letter to Kate today. I will close for this time because I am kind of shaky; I was in the hospital with the flu for a while.

Wishing you all a Merry Xmas
Yours Truly
